Well, it has been quite a while since we last updated. To be honest, not a lot has been happened. We have been enjoying our summer in Mauston, living with Jamie's parents. Jamie spent a week as a counselor at Badger Boys State. I was able to spend that time with a few friends in Chicago.
Our big trip this summer was a 2-week trip to Chilako Forks, British Columbia to visit my parents (Don and Kim). Just a few weeks before our arrival my dad had his second hip replacement surgery. He was doing well, but the timing was perfect to be able to help them out with different projects at their house. We put up some lighting in their guest cabin, cut up some downed trees, and started to build a rack for their truck cap. It wasn't all work. We did some fishing, ATVing, and even took a three hour drive to the mountains and beautiful Chilko Lake (which is 60 miles long). What we really appreciated about the trip was the quality time we had with my parents, being able to see the work they are doing up there, and meeting their new friends.
As for Saudi Arabia, we are just playing the waiting game. Our school is waiting for the government to give us visa numbers which will allow us to actually get our visas. After that we can finally book plane tickets and everything will be in order. We were told that the government often waits for the last minute to issue visas, which is definetly proving to be true. Our scheduled leave date is August 11th which is what we are planning on. At this point we are just leaving it all in God's hands.
